Where We Sail

East Phuket,
Phang Nga Bay & Beyond

Sailing Grounds

The waters that matter

The east coast of Phuket and Phang Nga Bay stay sheltered for most of the year. Limestone karsts, empty anchorages, crystal water — and with a 0.9m draft, we reach places the big charter fleets can't. Hover over each destination for sailing notes.

Phang Nga Bay
3–5 Day Charter
Phang Nga Bay
Limestone karsts, hidden hongs, iconic Andaman scenery.
⚓ Approach from south via Ao Po. Anchor in 3–8m, good holding throughout. National Park fee ฿400/person/day. North bay very shallow — our draft is the advantage. Watch for fishing boats after dark.
Ko Racha Islands
2–3 Day Charter
Ko Racha Noi & Yai
Crystal water, excellent snorkelling, beach campfires.
⚓ Ko Racha Yai: anchor in Ao Batok bay, 4–10m sand. Ko Racha Noi: exposed — settled weather only. Strong currents between islands. Best Nov–Apr. No facilities on Noi.
Ko Yao Islands
3–5 Day Charter
Ko Yao Noi & Yai
Traditional villages, quiet anchorages. Phuket without the tourists.
⚓ Multiple anchorages on west side of Ko Yao Noi, 3–6m. Free anchoring — check depth as seabed varies. Tender ideal for going ashore. Motorbikes available to hire on Yai.
Similan Islands
7+ Day Charter
Similan Islands
World-class diving, granite boulders, white sand.
⚓ Mooring buoys only — no anchoring in national park. Passage ~60nm from Chalong. Open Nov–May only (park closes Jun–Oct). Worth every nautical mile.
Ko Hong
3–5 Day Charter
Ko Hong & the Hongs
Secret interior lagoons inside collapsed limestone islands.
⚓ Anchor outside, dinghy in. Hongs only accessible by kayak at certain tides — check tide tables. Arrive early before day-trip boats. Stunning at sunrise.

When to come

High Season · Nov–Apr

NE monsoon brings settled weather, light reliable winds, and flat seas on Phuket's east coast. Ideal for longer passages to Similan and Surin. Best visibility for snorkelling and diving.

Low Season · May–Oct

SW monsoon — stronger winds on the west coast, but Phang Nga Bay and the east coast remain significantly more sheltered. Good wind for sailing, fewer tourists, lower rates.

Year-Round Base

Chalong Bay on Phuket's south-east coast is sheltered in both monsoons. We operate year-round — routes and destinations are adapted to the season and conditions.
